Revamp Old Synthetic Wig From Old Wig To New

My favorite protective style is, of course, WIGS but unless you’re new here you should already know that. After wearing a wig for a while things start to get not so great. That fresh and fab look goes pretty quick with synthetic wigs. Revamping your old wig is a great way to save money and get a cute new look. Why buy a new wig when you can just fix the one you have? It’s super easy and super cheap. I’m not going to lie it’s a little scary at first! But think of it like this, if you were already going to throw it away then you have nothing to lose. Check out my top three ways to get that wig back to FAB.

1. Cut it Cut it Cut it

This is a perfect solution for wigs with bad ends from friction against clothes, curly wigs or asymmetrical cut wigs. Using sharp hair scissors you can add bangs, make the entire thing shorter, add layers or change the whole shape.

2. Add Some Color to Your Wig

You can add color to your old wigs and give them a whole new look. I used Loreal Color Chalk to change on of favorite wigs into two different looks. I also used in my natural hair!

3. Do The Opposite

This is simple: If it’s curly and the wig can handle the heat of a flat iron then straighten it. If its straight then curl it. If you have a wig that can’t hold curls with normal styling methods then try roller setting and then dipping the wig in hot water. Flexi rods work perfect for this method and they’re actually available at the Dollar Tree!
